►FAQ
1. Can I have a legendary gijinka? Or a legendary pokemon to start off with?
There's certain circumstances in which you can obtain a legendary gijinka, but legendaries cannot be caught at this point.
2. What technology is available right now?
Anything that works off grid or that you can power with an electric type pokemon.
3. Can I roleplay as so-and-so?
Depends. If it's a major canon character from the Pokemon franchise, then you must try out for them. If it's a minor character, then you may go for them, but know we'll be a bit more scrutinizing on the quality of the character. No cross-over characters allowed; if you like a non-Pokemon series character, use them as a face claim.
4. What's the point of this forum?
You're rebuilding civilization. The forum really has no 'point' because that means it has an end. It just has a premise. "What will people do after war forces them to relocate and rebuild a society?" That's the main plot, but all the sub-plots are totally in the air at this point! Fun, right?
5. What's with the censoring?
Well, it's PG-13 here. I mean, you can cuss if you want, but it just won't show up. I personally use cutesy cuss words when I'm not supposed to cuss. Why not use frickle frackle instead of an f-bomb? Or just let the censor do its work. *shrug*
6. Am I allowed to have a mutated character?
Do you know how radioactivity actually works? It kills you. You can have a fatally radiated character, though, given you do the research. They probably won't have made the journey to Pangaea, though.
7. I want to set up a shop!
Go ahead! However, you must supply all merchandise to be sold; these are all things your character has obtained IC. Similarly, it's up to your character to defend themselves from thieves.
8. Why isn't there anywhere with a proper name? These are more like descriptions.
Pangaea was kind of forgotten about during the war. After being abandoned, no one really remembers the proper titles of any of the locations. Thus, the new inhabitants have the honor of finding all the forgotten ruins and such, and then giving them new names! For example, if your character stumbles across a part of the forest which is more like a wetland, they could name it Bill's Swamp or Daisy's Marsh.
9. Where is the Pokemon Center??
Ain't none. If you find healing items, you can use those in thread. Be reasonable; a potion isn't going to do much for anything above level twenty. In between threads, you can assume your pokemon healed for minor injuries. For major stuff or illnesses, you're going to either have the luck of owning a pokemon which heals, or running into a character with medical skills.
10. Wait... why does is the base a "safe" zone?? Why does it hold items? Can't my character keep those on them?! WHY ARE YOU ONLY ALLOWED TO KNOCK OUT ANOTHER PLAYER'S CHARACTER??
Ahaha, it's cute how you can already tell this answer's gonna be dark! Anyway, bases hold items as things can't be stolen from bases.Bases, for future plots, may get their safe zone status revoked; but only as long as the plot lasts. <3 However, whatever your character has in their inventory--whether it be items or pokemon (in pokeballs, exclusively)--can be stolen if they're knocked out. Also, because why the heck would your character carry everything around on them all the time? Ya'll askin' to get mugged, okay.
